Woodwork Calculator

My day job is not woodworking, I’m a digital workplace consultant and make things out of wood at the weekend and on holidays. For fun I’ve written a woodwork calculator app for Android phones and tablets (iPhone/iPad version to follow). It works out the measurement of your cut lines for tails and provides a divider setting. It also calculates the optimum number of tails, tail width to pin width ratio and edge pin width for drawer/box bottom grooves.

I’m posting about it to see if anyone would like to be a tester and help to steer the capabilities that go into the app. My intention is to keep it free forever, and for now there is no advertising either. Eventually, I may introduce some unobtrusive advertising. The app uses no AI cloud tools and needs no connection to the internet (at least until ads are introduced).

Honestly, it’s a bit of an experiment. The app is tiny and works on both phones and tablets responsively. If there is a feature you want, a joint type or a calculation that you struggle with, I’m happy to add more functionality. Distribution comes via the official app stores, but at this stage is invitation only, so that’s why I’m asking fro Play Store or App Store email addresses.
